Cyber security for logistics
In logistics, a cyber incident is an operational incident.
Modern logistics runs on connected systems: warehouse and transport management platforms, telematics, customer portals, EDI links and hundreds of partner connections. That connectivity is what makes your operation fast. It’s also what makes it exposed.
When an attacker gets in, the impact isn’t limited to data. Picking stops, vehicles sit idle, customer commitments are missed and penalties start to mount. CyberQ helps you understand where you’re vulnerable, protect what matters most and recover quickly when something goes wrong.

Key risks
What are youprotecting against?
The threats that matter most are the ones that can stop goods moving. These are the risks we see most often across logistics and supply chain operations.
Ransomware
Attackers encrypt the systems that plan, pick and dispatch, turning a cyber incident into missed deliveries within hours.
Supply chain attacks
A compromise at one supplier, carrier or software provider can ripple out to every partner connected to it.
Third-party access
Customers, hauliers and platforms all need access to your systems. Every connection is a potential way in.
Fleet & telematics
Connected vehicles, trackers and handheld devices stretch your attack surface far beyond the office.
Warehouse & transport systems
WMS and TMS platforms sit at the heart of operations, often on ageing or poorly segmented infrastructure.
Phishing & invoice fraud
Spoofed supplier emails and fake invoices target busy operations and finance teams handling high volumes.
Real-world example
One guessed password. 158 years of trading gone.
KNP Logistics, a Northamptonshire haulier with around 500 lorries, collapsed after Akira ransomware got in through a single guessed employee password. About 700 jobs were lost.

Parcel delivery and logistics
CyberQ’s first customer, and still a client nearly ten years on.
What the work covered: Panel penetration testing that grew into an ongoing managed service with weekly and monthly reporting
The challenge
A national parcel delivery network runs a rotating panel of penetration testers so no supplier gets complacent. As it scaled back in-house IT operations, it needed a security partner it could hand responsibility to.
The approach
CyberQ joined the penetration testing panel in 2016. The relationship grew into an ongoing managed service with weekly and monthly reporting.
The result
The service is described as good quality at the right price, with reports that are fit for purpose, and there are no plans to change provider.
